WellReport uses Ontario's provincial well records to present information in an easy-to-understand way. Our pages are our reading of the records, not the official government record. Where a record contradicts itself or the original paper, our page leaves the value out and explains why - the province's own record stays as it is.

There are inaccuracies in terms of location and other information. Some of the inaccuracies are inherited directly from the person who completed and submitted the well record. Inaccuracies may also be introduced during data entry. Quality control and improvement of the data set is continuous and ongoing.
The Records page explains the data dates, sources, units and how we handle differences from the source records.
WellReport is a data product. Nothing on this site is professional advice, a well inspection, or the practice of professional geoscience. A licensed well contractor or a qualified professional can assess a specific well.
WellReport does not inspect wells, test water or assess whether a property is suitable for purchase, building or another use. The creator's background on the About page does not mean that a particular well or property has been assessed.
